Plowing the Fields of Bagan

In the blistering heat of the summer, they still do things the old-fashioned way. This hard-working young man saw me taking his photo and invited me onto the field. I’m not as close as the photo suggests, though I had to get out of the way right after I took this shot!

Modern conveniences have not yet taken over the landscape in Bagan, Myanmar where cattle-drawn plows, horse-drawn buggies and bicycles are the norms. In other words, it still is peaceful and quiet here.

Photo was taken on a hot and muggy cloudy day in Bagan, Myanmar and stylized using ON1 Effects.
