Inle Lake, was one of our favorite places we visited while in Myanmar. Everywhere we looked was a postcard waiting to be made. We visited a monastery on a hill during a rainstorm and after it cleared a monk led us out the back door of the monastery and we enjoyed a magnificent view of rice farmers working peacefully in the afternoon sun.
If you make it out to Inle Lake, make sure you take time off the lake and explore the villages and monasteries around the lake. Then talk to anyone and everyone. You never know what amazing things might happen in this mystical land.
This photo was taken with a 70-200 f/4 on a Canon 5D MKII, processed in Lightroom to highlight the warm colors of the late afternoon sun.
